You Are the Average of the Five People You Spend the Most Time With

You Are the Average of the Five People You Spend the Most Time With is a visual glossary of friendships that have shaped me into who I am, whether as an artist, a sister, a daughter, a friend or a lover.

By paying tribute to them, I acknowledge my fear of these relationships withering away or of being undeserving of them.

Simultaneously, the image quality degradation caused by the repeated scanning of prints aims to explore that everything is liable of disappearing.

Accepting this is fear-inducing, yet necessary in the process of living a more mindfully present existence, far from the ambivalence of constantly trying to slow down a relationship’s potential fleeing.
